I got back the chrome trim rings from the platers and they came out great. I fitted them to the lenses and snapped the little posts into the plastic rings on the lenses. The thickness from the plating made the little posts too thick and they had to be shaved down with the trusty Dremel tool

Originally the little posts on the rings were flattened out to hols the rings to the lenses. there is not enough left to do that with so I used super weatherstrip adhesive by putting a little blob where the pinst would have attached.

After that I ran a bead around the trim that sealed the lens to the trim.

Here is the trim ring all glued to the lens. The shiny chrome really sets off the polished lenses.

A little tape around the assembly to snug it all together until the adhesive sets is a good idea. I left the lenses sit overnight and they are soild as a rock now

We reattached the lens assemblies to the lamp housings and bolted them into the tail panel that was finished in Organisol paint. The restored taillights look great resting in the textured black panel and framed by shiny trim.
