While I was out of town at the races John sprayed 4-coats of base color and 4-coats of clear on the Runner. Overall it came out well although a bit of dirt did end up in the paint since we were not using a spray booth. We will have to see how much comes out in the wetsanding and buffing.

The wetsanding has started. John used 1200 grit on the car with plenty of elbow grease to smooth out any orange peel and imperfections in the clear coat.

We kept sanding until the surface was a uniform dullness and showed no irregularities in the finish

The trunk had the most dirt specs in it but it seems like most of them are sanding out.

It looked so shiny before the wetsanding now it is just a big gooey mess again!
