While not a show car the cool thing about this GTX is the way it was ordered with virtually no options. It is a Track Pack car which means it has the HD cooling, Hemi 18-Spline 4-Speed, Dana 60 rear with 3.54 gears and Hemi leafs out back. After that there is no power anything, manual steering, manual brakes, no vinyl roof, no light groups no AC and an AM radio.

This car has an interesting history in that it was a daily driver up to a few years ago. This makes for some wear and tear and very interesting rust patterns. To think you are going to find a complete car with no rust for less than a fortune is a pipe dream so you just have to hunt out the interesting ones.

A nice intact grill and trim grace the front of the GTX as well as a reasonable bumper for re-chroming. I have not been impressed with the chrome on the repop bumpers so I will go with originals and have a new layer of plating put on them.

The car in amazingly intact with very few changes made along its life. I took a buffer to the hood and was surprised how well the 40-year old paint shined up. If it wasn't for all the gaping holes it would make a great survivor………NAH, I'm going to strip it all down and return it to the former glory it once had.

A little rougher view from the side as the rocker is toast as well as the quarter panels and inner wheel wells. We will see what is left of it when it comes back from the dippers.

For those of you who do not live in “Salt Country” this must seem strange to you but it is the price you pay for driving your car in winter. The salt gets into everything and attacks the metal with Hell's fury. Back then the coatings and rust proofers were just not as good as anything available today and this car was a daily driver so it looks like I have some

Looking pretty straight for a car with 104,000 miles on it. Most of the trim is salvageable and just needs a polish or re-chrome. At least I don't have to hunt it all down all over the web like with the Charger.
