CURRENT 2010 TRIP

Hello Trippers

This year's trip will take place May 28th thru May 31st.and again we will be camping at Turkey Run State Park in Indiana. Due to the Park's scheduling system and Frater Ruder's tennis lesson my daughter took up the cause and booked us 12 sites via their website. As luck would have it we were able to book the entire loop of sites we have had in the past. We decided on these sites after a brief email exchange and most seemed to favor them. Perhaps next year a "Campsite Committee" could be formed to take a stroll/drive/crawl through some other alternative locations or we could just stay where we are. "Frankly Scarlett I Don't give a Damn anymore" Frater Ruder will be contacting everyone about reservations and payment

We have camped on these site many times so there is no need to go into specifics but they are roomy and afford good level ground for tenting and a great place to plug in my Cramper.

Below is a map that will show you where our campsites are (211-270) and if you compare this to the general map of campsites in the park it will give you an idea of were we will be located if you come late. If you click on the map you can see whose name we used for the reservations. That does not mean you are tied to a site or they can not be switched. Frater Ruder will be switching sites to the correct names later if you want to change. I reserved a second site for the Townsends (214) that will be open for anyone who wants it.

Most campers arrive on Friday and we all head out on Monday morning. The actual canoe trip part is on Sunday mid-morning stretching into early Sunday afternoon.

The cost of a campsite is $80-$100 for the weekend and I suggest you make arrangements with Gary to ensure you have a campsite. If the sites fill up you can split one with someone else as they allow two tents on each site. Please contact Gary for reservations and to pay him.

It should be an interesting year this go around with some people showing up we have not seen in the woods in decades so get in touch with Gary and make your reservation now.
